Mr Banks joined the College as Housemaster of Tŷ Ddewi in September 2005. With 15 years experience in Boarding Houses both in the United Kingdom and South Africa, he brought with him a unique style that has seen Tŷ Ddewi fast become a settled and happy house.
Aptly supported by his wife, a New Zealander, and often seen with his two Jack Russell dogs in tow, Mr Banks also teaches English and coaches the 2nd XV rugby team. In true Antipodean style a barbecue fire can often be seen glowing outside Tŷ Ddewi and on Rugby International days in particular such a mix of rugby nations ensures healthy rivalry between House staff and students. |
