Investing in our pupils’ future Learning has become even more up-to-the-minute at Llandovery College with a significant and exciting commitment to IT both in and beyond the classroom. Each pupil has been provided with a Samsung netbook, fully equipped with the latest software required to enhance the whole learning experience. Added to this, all classrooms now have up-to-the-minute interactive Smart Boards, enabling staff to deliver lessons in an exciting and dynamic way, and showing a significant investment and a clear commitment to the development of technology within the College. The netbooks are equipped with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and many other forms of specialist software – everything necessary to support the curriculum. Our ethos: The ethos of the ICT & Computing department is to give the pupils a rounded experience of computing & ICT, giving them skills they can take on to GCSE/A Level coursework, university and eventually work life.
