Sixth Formers at Llandovery College receive a number of privileges that are not available to other students in the school. On our wooded campus, life for Sixth Formers is more akin to university than school, affording them new freedoms but also new responsibilities. Each year, we select a number of pupils to be prefects, working with the Head Boy and Girl, to lead the school. All those in Years 12 and 13 are expected to set high standards academically and pastorally by which others can learn. This includes exemplary behaviour. Prefects are awarded gowns on appointment. 6th Form pupils have use of:

  • dedicated Sixth Form boarding houses
  • excellent recreational facilities
  • a Sixth Form Centre, with coffee lounge, pool table, Satellite TV and supervised, licensed bar
  • WiFi throughout
  • Extended town leave
  • Recently extended, fully equipped gym with free-weights room
  • Use of the excellent sports grounds and facilities.
