Our primary aim in geography is to make students aware of the world that they are a part of. At Llandovery College, we teach geography with a multimedia and multisensory approach. Fieldwork is at the centre of our teaching which gives the students the opportunity to learn outside of the classroom. IT is also central to our teaching and students will employ newly learned IT techniques and then apply them to geographically relevant tasks. In year 7, 8 and 9 the primary aim is learning whilst having fun. From year 10 onwards the department focus is on building on the foundation of knowledge learned in the early years to provide success at GCSE and A Level.
