Llandovery College Senior School - years 7-11
Llandovery College offers your child an amazing array of opportunities.  From Combined Cadet Force and Duke of Edinburgh awards, to an excellent choice of subjects and activities.  Your child will learn in a safe, friendly environment.  Teachers with very high levels of commitment both academically and pastorally teach in small, streamed classes.  With our small school ethos we are able to stretch the most gifted and support those who need high levels of support.  Gifted pupils can take subjects early leaving them free to concentrate on subjects they may want to take at a higher level.  We offer a broad and innovative subject base including classics and Mandarin.

Llandovery College Senior School offers boarding and day school places for those in years 7-11.  All pupils are aligned to one of the boarding houses providing a home base where they can go during breaks in the school day.  Pastoral care is second to none with the recent CSSIW report highly commending the care given to each child in a warm and nurturing environment.

With offerings on and off curriculum as diverse as Mandarin and classical civilisation, Latin and Greek to fencing, climbing, shooting, orienteering and european culture, there is something for everyone.  Through this programme of lessons, activities, sports and performing arts, pupils are encouraged to try out many different activities and pursuits to challenge themselves and gain new experiences.   The Welsh language is taught as a compulsory subject from year 7 along with Mandarin and French.  Spanish is introduced in year 8.

A faculty of highly qualified teachers with specialist degrees inspire pupils to gain the most from their time at the College.
