Llandovery College Senior School - years 7-11
Llandovery College Senior School offers boarding and day school places for those in years 7-11. All pupils are aligned to one of the boarding houses providing a home base where they can go during breaks in the school day. Pastoral care is second to none with the recent CSSIW report highly commending the care given to each child in a warm and nurturing environment.
With offerings on and off curriculum as diverse as Mandarin and classical civilisation, Latin and Greek to fencing, climbing, shooting, orienteering and european culture, there is something for everyone. Through this programme of lessons, activities, sports and performing arts, pupils are encouraged to try out many different activities and pursuits to challenge themselves and gain new experiences. The Welsh language is taught as a compulsory subject from year 7 along with Mandarin and French. Spanish is introduced in year 8.

Through a wide sporting programme, your child will be actively encouraged to participate in a wide variety of individual and team disciplines. As in the classroom, each child's talent is nurtured and many achieve standards they had never imagined they would reach. Our students have consistent success at regional, national and international level, with current students and past students competing at national level or above in no less than 17 sports in recent years.
