Old Llandoverian Society Golf Matches

The following matches have been arranged:

Sunday 13th June - Old Llandoverians  -v- Students at Llandovery College Golf Club.  Match Play.  Assemble: 1pm at Sports Pavillion/course.  Buffet meal in School with the Warden. Team: 6-8 players please.
Friday 2nd July - West Wales Tournament: Tenby Golf Club for the West Wales Branch - Major D Bowl Stableford competition. Assemble: 12 noon.  Guests welcome to play and Old Llandoverian non-golfers for evening meal.
Wednesday 4th August - Old Llandoverians -v- Army Golf Association, Wales at Southerndown Golf Club. Team 10 players.  Assemble: 12 noon. Match-play holes played.
Friday 3rd September - Old Llandoverians -v- Old Breconians at Cradoc Golf Club. Match play - 4 ball better ball or singles. Sorry no guests.  Assemble: 12 noon. (Brecon 17^1₂ Llandovery 10^1₂ ).
Friday 8th October - Welsh Public Schools Tournament at Manor House Golf Club, Castle Combe, nr Bath organised by Dean Close Old Boys.  Two teams from Llandovery (16 players) (Provisional Entry).  Team event: 4 pairs better ball Stableford 3 best cards followed by Dinner.  Full details will be sent to any Old Llandoverian who is interested in playing.

Pre and Post International Match Receptions at Cardiff

The East Wales Branch Committee decided on Thursday 22nd April to move future receptions from the Big Sleep to a new venue closer to Westgate Street, and not to hold a reception at the time of the summer game v South Africa.  Details of arrangements for the Autumn internationals will be posted on the website prior to the end of August.

Dinner Pre Wales -v- England 2011

As the WRU have announced that the Wales v England game is to be on a Friday - Friday 4th February 2011 - the East Wales Branch Committee on 22nd April decided to move the dinner to the eve of the Wales v Ireland game - Friday 11th March 2011, and also to change slightly the format of the evening.  Details will be posted on the website prior to the end of August. 

Branch AGM

The Branch AGM will be held on 7th July 2010 at Eglwys Dewi Sant Church, St Andrews Crescent, Cardiff.
