From next season the Old Llandoverian CC will be part of an inaugural 20:20 competition to be held at the Swalec Stadium. The competition will involve three matches involving the Old Llandoverians, Christ College Old Boys and Old Monmouthian cricket teams. The day will be rounded off with an evening charity dinner at the Stadium. This has the potential to be an exciting but challenging day so we need to drum up support from Old Llandoverian who would like to play as well as from other who may wish to be involved in organising, sponsoring or donating towards the day. We are likely to need a couple of speakers on the night, and whilst the day is about cricket the evening could feature rugby and other sporting interests too. If there are any of our excellent rugby players willing to attend or donate a shirt for auction that would be very much appreciated. More details to follow of this exciting future event.

The intention in terms of players is to be loyal to those who have turned out for the Old Llandoverians in the past but as there are two games in a 3 way competition there is clearly scope to involve new players, but we would ideally like to see some of these playing in this year's game against Christ College. Hopefully playing for the Old Llandoverians is sufficient incentive by itself but if not next year's event should be a good one so please get in touch.
