A Welcome from the Warden
For over 160 years, Llandovery College has combined scholarly excellence with a caring embrace; a respect for tradition with an eagerness to look forward. In our warm community the individual is valued. Honesty, pride and integrity matter; hard work, humour and integrity in class and on the playing field are crucial values and the process of education is as important as grades achieved. We have high expectations; academic and otherwise. We devote ourselves to helping your child fulfil their true potential.
In all areas of school life, dedicated staff will challenge and inspire your child to be the best they can be. Our very nature means that teaching continues beyond the classroom. Here, your child has ample opportunity to learn from classmates from across the nation and the globe. Friendships are often forged for life.
At Llandovery, your child can enjoy learning in a safe, beautiful location where mellow old buildings blend with modern facilities in a wooded campus of 50+ acres surrounded by the Brecon Beacons and at the gateway to the Cambrian Mountains.
All heads implore you to visit their school. I am no different. I truly believe that when you see us in action you will sense our community and purpose. Staff and pupils will welcome your family into ours. Our next OPEN DAY will be Saturday November 6th 2010.
We hope you will visit at a time convenient to you.
