Mr. Adrian Thomas
I grew up in Llangunnor (Carmarthen) where I now live with my fiance Casey, two children Holly and Cole along with our three-legged cat Doc. I attended QE Cambria Secondary school and Southampton University where I gained a BSc in Politics & Law in 2001. My first area of employment was within the legal field although I always thought the career path I would end up following was teaching in the primary sector. I went back to Trinity College Carmarthen in 2003 and gained my PGCE in Primary Education and my first full time job was within the Gollop Preparatory School in January 2005. During my time here I have taught all age groups from Year 3 upwards and am now the Deputy Head and Year 6 teacher.
An Interview with Mr Adrian Thomas, Prep School Deputy Head
by the Year Six Class.
Chi Wing: If you were Henry VIII which wife would you keep?
I would attempt to hold onto the first one Catherine of Aragon rather than his method although he was under pressure to ensure there was a male heir.
Henry: If you could do any Olympic sport what would it be?
It would have to be the 100m as it’s the glory event.
Megan: What TV show do you hate?
Anything involving a diet as I love my food too much!
Lauren: If you were a millionaire what job would you have?
I’d teach for free!
Freddy: Where would you hide if someone was after you?
A police station if there was one nearby although in some situations that could be the worse place to hide, if I was a criminal for example.
Isobel: If you only had 24hours left on Earth what would you do with this precious time?
I’d try and spend it with family and friends making the most of the time I had left.
Jenny: If you could invent a language what would it be called?
Sometimes I think I am speaking a different language and if it had a name I’d call it Thenglish (a mixture of my surname, English and Welsh).
Darci: If you weren’t Welsh what nationality would you be?
Impossible to answer!
Hugo: What hairstyle would you have if you were a rock star?
Tomos: What’s your most embarrassing moment?
Tripping over my shepherd’s costume in my first ever school play.
Jacob: What age would you like to be forever?
I’d like to be around 10 years old with no mortgage, football or rugby every day with my mum looking after me, although I’m pretty happy where I am now as I have my own family to look after.
