To help children stay safe online, we encourage everyone to use the web pages provided by CEOP (Child Exploitation & Online Protection Centre). These pages provide age appropriate guides to using the internet and help children to understand some of the issues involved. A special zone has been set up for children between 8 and 10 years of age, and it can be accessed by clicking on the link below.

Pupils in Year 6 have been enjoying learning about Environmental (Ephemeral) Art. This exciting topic has really captured the imagination of all pupils. The fact that work is created from nature, is non-permanent (ephemeral) has enabled all pupils to produce pieces that are viewed in a different manner to a painting or sketch. To develop this work further, the Welsh environmental artist Tim Pugh is booked to visit Gollop and hold a workshop with us on the 17th November 2011. If you would like to view Tim Pugh's work then click on his website link below.

Times tables are important
Here at LPS we are adamant that our pupils should be learning all their times tables as they provide a key to unlock many mathematical concepts, especially when they move on to secondary education and the real world. Here’s an article that we think you should have a look at:
