Universities provide a wealth of courses, opportunities and experiences to students moving on to higher education. Choosing the right university is key to each young person’s future, allowing them to achieve their full potential and make their mark in the world.

This year our pupils have achieved the remarkable success rate of 87% securing their first choice of university and 49% of these going to the Russell Group. The Russell Group represents 24 leading UK universities that believe people and ideas are the key to meeting global challenges. Through world-class research and education the Russell Group is helping to create a dynamic economy, stronger communities and a better future for the UK and Llandovery College students are fully prepared and proud to play their part.

This university success has been possible due to excellent A Level results with over 50% of students securing the much coveted A*-A grades. The College also achieved superb GCSE results with A*-A grades of 43% and A*-C grades rising significantly to 92%.
