Join us for a day of exceptional rugby training, skills and performance and see all we have to offer girls who are passionate about rugby!
Llandovery College has an outstanding rugby history and a proud reputation of producing top-level rugby players alongside excellent examination results. Former Wales Women’s captain Carys Phillips and Rachel Poolman are past students of Llandovery College. In 2019, Llandovery College Girls were the highest placed Welsh girls team in the U18s competition at Rosslyn Park and in the same year our U15 girls won the Carmarthen Cup.
With interest in the game growing in recent years, Llandovery College is delighted to support the increased demand from girls to play rugby at the highest level. The College is looking at developing and strengthening the Girls Rugby Programme with support from our partner Regions; the Scarlets, Opsreys and Dragons and the Welsh Rugby Union.
The College’s Sports Staff includes the Director of Elite Rugby, Sam Williams and Head of Sport, Clare Flowers, who is a former rugby international having gained 75 caps during her career. Plans are also in place to appoint a Girls Rugby Development Officer for September 2022 who will lead an exciting and dynamic Girls Rugby Programme.
Along with small class sizes and individual attention from teachers, the College offers a bespoke rugby training programme and a fully equipped, state of the art gym. Scholarships are available.
