Llandovery College fully reopens to all students in September

At Llandovery College we are busy planning for a full reopening of the school in September. Students will be warmly welcomed back to school where their full timetable will be delivered by their specialist subject teachers. Pupils will be protected in year group hubs within designated classrooms and, in small class sizes, they will enjoy their full timetable of lessons in a safe and socially distanced environment.

The College is set in rural Carmarthenshire and our extensive grounds and campus ensures every year group hub has a dedicated, secure and large outdoor space providing students with the space to relax and enjoy their time with school friends. A busy and varied programme of co-curricular activities further enhances our students’ health and wellbeing.

The safety and wellbeing of all students, staff and visitors is the College’s main priority and to adhere to Coronavirus guidelines, much detailed planning and preparation has gone into all aspects of daily school life including; temperature scanners, handwashing stations, social distancing measures, one way systems, staggered meal times and breaks, hard surface cleaning during the day, reduction in boarding house beds, new traffic management plan and the on-site Medical Centre open 24 hours a day.

Adhering to Coronavirus guidelines and creating a safe space at Llandovery College for all pupils has reduced the number of spaces available in boarding houses and classrooms for September 2020. We recommend you contact us as soon as possible to secure your place!
