The Old Llandoverian Society
Once known here, always known here. We remember Old Llandoverians and members of staff who have died, with gratitude for what they gave this place.
OL 1949-57; College Master, 1966-1997. Died Monday, 9 September 2024. "A man of rare character and steadfast loyalty," remembered by generations of pupils as the Sage of Llandovery.
Former collier and mine owner who played rugby for the College 1st XV, then for Bridgend and Cardiff, before later running a catering business in South Wales.
OL 1952-59. Old Llandoverian, parent, grandfather and Trustee of the College. Died Monday, 1 April 2024.
OL 1944-52. Outside-half for the 1st XV and Head Boy; part of the side that won the Rosslyn Park Sevens in 1952.
College Chaplain. A forty-one-year ministry that included twenty-four years as a school chaplain across five schools. Died 24 May, aged 66, in Paphos, Cyprus.

OL, 1st XV player in 1965, who went on to a career in hotel management. Born 6 September 1947; died 1 September 2016.
Chemical engineer, Shell executive and university board member. Died 10 October, in Melbourne, Australia.
A member of staff for sixteen years - PE teacher, rugby coach, and creator of the College's golf course.
