Llandovery College is a non-selective, co-educational day and boarding school for pupils aged 3 to 18, set in 45 acres of the Tywi Valley. Our size means pupils and staff know one another, and it means a new colleague can make a difference from the first term.
Teaching
Start: Lent Term, January 2027, or sooner if possible.
Contract: full-time, permanent, reporting to the STEM Faculty Lead.
Closing date: midnight on Thursday 8 October 2026.

We are seeking a Teacher of Science to teach combined Science across Years 7 to 11 (Key Stage 3 and GCSE), together with A level teaching in one of Physics, Chemistry or Biology. Please state your A level specialism in your covering letter.
The STEM Faculty is a thriving, forward-thinking department with a strong focus on the professional development of every member of staff. Our five laboratories, renovated in summer 2023, let us deliver hands-on, practical science that fosters discovery and experimentation. Classes are small throughout the College, and Sixth Form sets can be as small as two to six students, so there is time to know every pupil, stretch the most able and support those who find science harder.
The role would suit an experienced teacher or an ambitious early-career teacher. Graduates seeking teacher training will also be considered. Salary is negotiated according to qualifications and experience, and the post is subject to one term's notice on either side.
