Llandovery College welcomes Frantic Assembly

Movement as storytelling, learned directly from an industry professional.

Llandovery College was delighted to welcome a representative from Frantic Assembly to the College this week, giving our Performing Arts pupils an exciting opportunity to learn from one of the UK's most acclaimed theatre companies.

Known for its innovative approach to physical theatre and award-winning productions, including The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time and Things I Know to Be True, Frantic Assembly has helped to shape contemporary theatre and inspire young performers across the country.

The workshop provided our GCSE and A Level Performing Arts pupils with the opportunity to explore a range of physical theatre techniques, develop their performance skills, and gain a deeper understanding of movement as a powerful storytelling tool. Throughout the session, pupils were encouraged to collaborate, think creatively, and challenge themselves in a dynamic and engaging environment.

The experience offered a fascinating insight into the creative processes used by one of the UK's leading theatre companies, enabling pupils to learn directly from an industry professional and gain valuable knowledge of the performing arts sector.

Pupils thoroughly enjoyed the workshop and embraced the opportunity to develop new artistic skills while working with a leading practitioner from the creative arts industry. It was an inspiring and memorable experience.
