Llandovery College was delighted to come together on Friday, 25th September, for our Macmillan Coffee Morning, raising more than £750 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The College was overwhelmed by the generosity and support shown by pupils, staff, parents, families and members of the wider community, who joined us for a wonderful morning of homemade cakes, conversation, and fundraising.
From those who baked and donated an incredible selection of cakes and treats, to everyone who came along, made a donation or helped behind the scenes, the event was a fantastic demonstration of the community spirit that lies at the heart of Llandovery College.
There was also some friendly competition as our bakers put their culinary skills to the test for the coveted title of Star Baker. Congratulations to our winners:
- Best Staff Bake · Mrs Anderson, for her white chocolate, blueberry and blackberry cake
- Best Pupil Bake · Caitlin, for her meringues
- Best Pupil Bake · Rugby, for her cupcakes
Most importantly, the morning raised over £750 for Macmillan Cancer Support, helping to support the charity’s vital work with people and families affected by cancer.
We are incredibly proud of the Llandovery College family and enormously grateful for the continued support we receive from the wider community. Events such as this are a wonderful reminder of what can be achieved when our pupils, staff, families and friends come together for a shared cause.
